PART TIME RETAIL & HERB BAR COUNTER TEAM MEMBER

We're hiring a front-facing Retail & Herb Counter Team Member who will split time between the front register, the back herb counter, restocking, & order fulfillment. This is a structured, hands-on position not a purely conversational, customer-facing role.

Weekend availability is required. This is a core, non-negotiable part of the rotating schedule.

Familiarity with Shopify or a similar POS system is strongly preferred.

Compensation: $16 hr (See below for details on pay progression following the initial training period)

What You'll Do

• Assist customers at the front register & herb counter
• Help customers find herbs, teas, books, & wellness products
• Make Teas, label body care & keep inventory of items up to date.
• Make thoughtful product recommendations that grow basket size & support customers' wellness goals
• Process sales & online orders using Shopify POS
• Restock, organize, & maintain product displays - including lifting stock boxes & staying active on your feet for full shifts
• Support order fulfillment & general shop operations
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming space
• Shift fluidly between customer service & operational tasks throughout the day, without needing to be told which is next.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Available to work weekends as a regular, ongoing part of their schedule
• Treats retail as a craft - takes as much pride in a stocked shelf & a clean floor as in a good customer interaction
• Understands that restocking & cleaning aren't "downtime" - they're the job, & a small business runs on that attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual & consistent
• Comfortable with physical tasks & moving throughout the day
• Strong customer service skills with a calm, welcoming presence
• Able to move smoothly between customer service, stocking, & order fulfillment without losing momentum
• Communicates clearly & asks questions when needed
• Works well within a small team
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar POS systems strongly preferred
