How do you make a cup of tea?

INFUSIONS, used with leaves, flowers and aromatic seeds

1 Teaspoon of herb(s) per cup of water

Method 1: Add herbs to a pot or heat proof jar. Pour water that has come to a boil over the herbs and cover with a lid. Allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain the tea, drink and enjoy!

Method 2: To create a stronger infusion, place the herbs in a pot of cold water, cover with a tight lid and bring to a boil over low heat. Take the brew off of the heat just before it begins to boil and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain the tea, drink and enjoy!

DECOCTIONS, used with roots, barks, nuts and non-aromatic seeds

1 Teaspoon of herb(s) per cup of water

Method 1: Bring water to a boil, add herbs and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Be sure to keep a tight fitting lid on the pot to keep in steam and important nutrients. Remove from heat and strain the tea, drink and enjoy!

Method 2: To create a stronger decoction, place the herbs and water in a pot with a tight fitting lid. Bring to a boil then take the heat down to a low simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the tea, drink and enjoy!
